Student Career Opportunity: Economic Analyst
Port Houston has an entry level opportunity as an economic analyst. We are looking for a bright individual interested in career opportunity to put their mathematics, modeling and forecasting skills at the largest port in the country. This is a great opportunity for a graduate student or recent undergraduate.
This position replaces our economist who was recently promoted within the port. He joined the port nearly ten years ago shortly after completing his graduate degree in economics from Pennsylvania State University. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and after a handful of years at the port has developed a successful career at the port, working directly with our senior leadership at the port authority to provide analysis and support regarding the expansion of the Houston Ship Channel and other challenging projects.
I’ve attached the job description for the position. Developing models and forecast is only part of the job. The successful candidate will also possess strong analytic and story telling skills.
I welcome your questions. Any candidate is welcome to contact me directly to learn more (John A. Moseley, Chief Commercial Officer, jmoseley@porthouston.com).
