TPC job opening for new and recent PhDs

I am writing to ask for your assistance in the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center’s (TPC) search for a Research Associate. We are seeking a person who has a PhD or a master’s degree and equivalent work experience, a broad knowledge and understanding of public finance or a related area of applied microeconomics, and a strong interest in the US tax system. A background in business taxes is desirable but is not a requirement.

The person would contribute to the analysis and modeling of a broad range of tax policies. He or she would assist in the development of TPC’s tax models, including its business tax model, and conduct research both independently and as part of a team. Research Associates also write research reports and policy briefs and have opportunities to present their findings at conferences and publish in academic journals.
