Fellowship in Economics
I wanted to inform you of a great opportunity at the Department of Economics at Stony Brook University. Thanks to the generosity of one of our alumnae, the Department of Economics has started a graduate fellowship program for underrepresented students whose immediate academic plans include obtaining a doctoral degree in economics. The mission of these fellowships is to increase the diversity of students traditionally underrepresented in economics with a strong quantitative background. We have successfully attracted several fellows last year and are committed to recruiting more fellows this year.
In addition to the regular stipend, the fellowship offers $75,000 over five years in addition to the regular stipend and has a reduced teaching load after advancement to Ph.D. candidacy. To be considered for the fellowship, the application must be received before February 15th . You can find the detailed information about the fellowship at Fellowships | Department of Economics (stonybrook.edu).
