Qatar recognizes Rice’s Medlock for educating future energy leaders

Ken Medlock, right, senior director of the Center for Energy Studies at Rice’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, was recognized by Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, former deputy prime minister and energy minister of Qatar and a longtime global energy industry leader, with an award for the advancement of education for future energy leaders at a May 1 gala dinner in Doha. Medlock was one of seven people recognized for exemplary careers in the energy field.
