Effective 2021-2022 academic year, a new Major Concentration (EMQE Econometrics and Quantitative Economics) will be part of the official curriculum of the MA and PhD programs in Economics. The new major concentration classifies as STEM (CIP Code 45.0603: Econometrics and Quantitative Economics), so all students receiving MA or PhD degrees in Economics can apply for a 24-month STEM extension of F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT).
