Becker Friedman Institute for Economics (BFI)

The Becker Friedman Institute for Economics (BFI) is seeking to hire a Research Professional to work on new and ongoing research projects as part of BFI’s Macroeconomic Research Initiative, with a special focus on empirical macroeconomics, monetary economics, the influence of housing on the macroeconomy, the amplification of recessions. The Research Professional will work under the guidance of Professors Christina Patterson and Joseph Vavra. The research includes the topics of monetary policy, mortgage markets and the role of housing in the macroeconomy, consumption dynamics, and price-setting. The position will demand close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects.
