Fall Admissions Updates

Heinz College has extended its deadline for the August 2021 intake in the full-time master’s programs.

The Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy is home to two internationally recognized graduate-level institutions at Carnegie Mellon University: the School of Information Systems and Management and the School of Public Policy and Management. This unique colocation combined with its expertise in analytics set Heinz College apart in the areas of cybersecurity, health care, the future of work, smart cities, and arts & entertainment. In 2016, INFORMS named Heinz College the #1 academic program for Analytics Education.

The final application deadline for the August 2021 intake in the full-time master’s programs at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College has been extended to February 1, 2021.

In order to SUBMIT your application by February 1, 2021 you’ll need to complete the following:

  • Answer the required questions within the online application form
  • Upload essay
  • Upload CV/résumé
  • Register your recommenders' names and email addresses
  • Enter test date and registration number for any required standardized test(s) if applicable (GRE/GMAT is optional for 2021)

As a reminder, we DO NOT charge a fee for you to apply.

We do allow a grace period for supporting materials (transcript(s), recommendations and/or test scores) to reach us. All supporting materials may arrive AFTER February 1st (their arrival after the 1st will NOT have a negative impact on your admission decision or scholarship review!).
