The Master of Energy Economics at Rice University is designed to train participants to produce insightful analysis of energy markets in order to inform them in such things as capital asset decisions, firm strategic direction and future market orientation. The course of study familiarizes participants with relevant and insightful economics models, quantitative methods, and a comprehensive view of the factors that drive energy markets.
MEECON is a full time graduate level terminal degree. Online courses are not offered.
Admission to the program is limited to outstanding individuals who have earned undergraduate degrees (except current Rice students who may apply to the MEECON program in the second semester of their senior year).
The deadline for submitting applications as well as test scores and supplemental material is May 1st. Full consideration will be given to applications that are submitted prior to the deadline.
